We are giving away a quilt.

Photography by Trevor Frydenlund
This “Fabulous Fruit” quilt was made by the Demi-TAS of Burien (WA) chapter of The Appliqué Society. They have one major project each year, and for this quilt they adapted fruit blocks from Kathy Delaney’s book, “Horn of Plenty For a New Century.” She has given us written permission to use the designs. The blocks are set in groups of four with checkerboard sashings to evoke the feeling of fruit baskets. Our member, Sandy Burroughs, quilted the project on her home sewing machine with very fine thread. This, and the wool batting, allow the delicate stippling to raise and emphasize the fruit. A very fortunate Appliqué Society member will win this quilt in a random drawing. All you need do to win is be an active member at the time of our drawing in December 2010.
