A New Sister Chapter…and A New Challenge

TAS is developing a new project called “Sister Chapters”. Any chapter that is interested in sharing tips, techniques, ideas, exchanges, etc. will be given the name of another chapter that would like to participate in this project, or they could choose a chapter that they already know and with which they are familiar.

The following is a list of existing Sisters chapters...

  • SeWackii Sisters - Happy Appy's of Chilliwack, B.C. and the Chapters of Sequim, WA.

The following chapters would like to contact a 'Sister' Chapter in their own geographical area, with the idea that visits between Chapters would be fun!

Canada-Ontario - London - Wednesday's Wonders Their Chapter prefers Baltimore or any hand appliqué Contact Dorothy Vaughan dvaughan@execulink.com

Idaho - Glenn's Ferry- First Friday Fabric Stitchers Contact Sandra Wyngaard writes that they would like to connect with another Chapter in Nevada, Oregon or Wyoming. Preference is hand appliqué, usually floral patterns in all styles. Contact Sandra Wyngaard swyngaard20272Hwy@yahoo.com

The Northern Nevada Needle Nuts chapter, from Elko/Spring Creek, Nevada, challenged their new “Sister Chapter”, The Appliqué Consortium of Irving, Texas. The challenge was to make a quilt that would fit on a small decorative hanger.

We hope you enjoy looking at some of these challenge projects. And we would like to encourage the chapters to either find a “Sister Chapter” or let us help you find one. If you would like more information about this project please contact TAS or check with your Chapter Leader.

PS….You just  had to know those Texas stitchers wouldn’t let it end with just one challenge! Watch for photos of the counter challenge posted to this site soon, we still have some time yet to complete the project.

PLEASE NOTE: this page will take a few minutes to COMPLETELY load, since there are so many photos!!  Thank You for your patience - it will be worth it!!
