Join Barb Eikmeier, author of "Back Basting Applique Step by Step" for hands - on experience with more complicated shapes while using the Back Basting Applique technique.  A basic understanding of and some experience with Back Basting Applique is assumed.  Students will learn a variety of layering techniques plus fussy cut shapes, two tone leaves, very skinny stems, little circles, and lined shapes.  Includes tips and techniques for border vines and transferring embroidery lines.  Students are invited to bring projects they want to convert to Back Basting Applique for tips on getting started.  Includes show and tell of quilts made with Beyond the Basics techniques.
